EDITOR: Sharon Pisacreta was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. It took her decades to reach the shores of Lake Michigan, stopping along the way in Narrangansett, Rhode Island and New York City. Although she has been a freelance writer since her twenties, she has also taught college history, directed an archaeological dig and run her own office services company.

An award winning writer, Sharon's publishing credits include numerous magazine articles, short stories, three novels, and two novellas. In 1993, her one-act play 'A Slow Night at Aldo's' was performed off-Broadway. Additional writing experience ranges from producing ad copy and press releases to editing the manuscripts of both aspiring and published writers. She has also designed and maintained various writing websites. As she begins her third exhilarating year living along the lakeshore, Sharon hopes that Lake Effect Living will entice others to do the same.
